DESIGN

Canada’s new aesthetic is represented in three colours:

WHITE

  • The flicker films are red, over the Maple Leaf on the centre front crest, and gold, around the edges of the leaf and the numbers.
  • ‘CANADA’ is punctuated in a unique font, printed underneath the crest.

A new jewel blade Swoosh, inspired by a hockey skate blade, has chrome flicker film that sparkles under the arena lights.

INNOVATION

Upgrading to a lightweight and breathable rip-stop material and incorporating more mesh, such as in the collar and under both arms, helps increase ventilation, comfort and cooling.

A shift to single-layer laser-perforated numbers, instead of layering up heavy twill, that are applied by heat, rather than stitching them down, increases the jersey breathability and articulation.

The centre front crest is heat-applied, single-layered twill, allowing it to drape nicely and reduces the weight, resulting in better articulation for the athlete.

Jerseys were made available to purchase Nov. 1, 2017 at select Canadian retailers.
