HCLL - Hockey Canada Coach 1 - Developing Skills - Crossing Over the Circle - Tendency

when we're trying to teach minor hockey players how to crossover, more specifically, on a circle, we find the stance is too upright. This hurts a players ability to cross their legs over or undercut. Another tendency is that the head and shoulders stay straight, there's no separation of upper and lower body, and we know that if we want to turn in a direction we have to lead with our head followed by our shoulders.
