OTTAWA – The Ottawa Senators and Hockey Country will honour 2008 IIHF World Junior Championship gold medalist Claude Giroux in a pre-game ceremony when the Senators play host to the New York Islanders on Sunday, Jan. 13 at 7 p.m.

Giroux, who recorded two goals and four assists in seven games for Team Canada at this year’s world junior championship in the Czech Republic, will be joined by his Gatineau Olympiques teammates in a suite for the game.

2009 IIHF World Junior Championship Tickets Going Fast

An additional 2,300 ticket packages, almost 40,000 tickets, have been sold since Team Canada’s gold medal win on Saturday (Jan. 5), reducing the number of bronze packages available to fewer than 600 for the 2009 IIHF World Junior Championship. The bronze ticket packages include all Team Canada and medal-round games.

The bronze 17-game package is available at $750 per seat in the 300 level at SBP. All bronze ticket packages include seats for every Team Canada game, and all playoff and medal-round games.
