CANADA DROPS SWISS CHALLENGE
Domenic Pittis scored twice in less than two minutes in the first period but Team Canada dropped a 6-4 final
to Switzerland’s national team at the Swiss Challenge on Tuesday in Hallenstadion, Zurich.
Kirby Law also scored for Canada in the first period and the team held a 3-1 lead going into the second.
The Swiss scored twice to tie it up in the second, before Tyler Wright gave Team Canada a 4-3 lead, which the
club held going into the third period.
The Swiss scored three third-period goals for the victory.
Canada will now prepare for the Deutschland Cup in Germany. Canada faces Germany in exhibition action at
1:30 p.m. ET Wednesday in Hanover.
Canada opens its tournament on Thursday against Latvia (10:30 a.m. ET). Saturday, the Canadians will face
the Slovaks (10:30 a.m. ET). Both of those games will be held in Hanover.
