Germany 5 – Atlantic 3
Team Atlantic could clinch a spot in the medal round with a win over Germany. However, Team Germany who was still looking for their first win of the tournament looked like the hungrier team. Team Atlantic opened the scoring with a short-handed goal by David Chubb at 4:12 of the first period. Germany responded with a power-play goal by Rene Kramer to tie the game at 1-1. Team Atlantic got back on the board mid way through the second period when Justin Saulnier scored his fourth goal of the tournament. After a second goal by Germany, the game came down to the final period. Germany scored three third period goals to win the game 5-3.
