Spengler Cup Davos is again the Spengler Cup champion...and again vs. Canada Selects the outsider won the final game. It was te re-match of the final game of last year, when Davos surprisingly won vs. the favourite Canada Selects. In this tournament Canada Sel. Was the dominating team of the Robin Round with no defeat, three victories in regular time and an overtime win vs. the final opponent Davos. Similar to the year before, Canada had the better start of both teams tired after the fifth match in only
six days. But again, Davos, like 2000, had a great comeback with two goals in between only 40 seconds and
even could level the score at 3:1. Everything had the same evolution like the year before Davos had more luck
in this final game of the tournament. The crowd (again sold out, in eleven games Davos had an attendance of
more than 82'000 spectators, what means new record!) was in the mood to celerate before Canada Sel. began
with their comeback. Again, similar to the Robin Round game, an overtime had to decide, who will be the
champion. And it was again the lucky one HC Davos with a sudden death score by Lonny Bohonos with an
unassisted goal after only one minute of play. Game Summary
