Taylor Hall, Jordan Eberle and Tyler Toffoli had a goal and assist each to help Canada to a win over the host Czech Republic, staying unbeaten and holding onto sole possession of top spot in Group A at the 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship.

Jason Spezza scored twice and added an assist, Nathan MacKinnon had a goal and two helpers, and Canada got its 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship started with a win over the Latvians in the Group A opener in Prague.
HC Genève-Servette 6 – Canada 5 | Semifinal | Tue. Dec. 30
Canada’s National Men’s Team turned a five-goal deficit into a one-goal game twice in the third period, but came up one goal short in a loss to defending champion HC Genève-Servette in the 2014 Spengler Cup semifinals.
Canada 5 – Jokerit Helsinki 2 | Quarter-final | Mon. Dec. 29
Jeff Tambellini scored the game-winning goal late in the second period, and Canada’s National Men’s Team used five unanswered goals to earn a victory over Jokerit Helsinki and book a spot in Tuesday’s Spengler Cup semifinals.
Canada 3 – Medvescak Zagreb 1 | Preliminary | Sat. Dec. 27
Bud Holloway, Stefano Giliati and Alexandre Giroux scored goals, Drew MacIntyre made 24 saves, and Canada’s National Men’s Team finished its round robin schedule at the 2014 Spengler Cup with a win, beating Medvescak Zagreb.
HC Davos 2 – Canada 1 | Preliminary | Fri. Dec. 26
Alexandre Giroux scored a power play goal to pull Canada’s National Men’s Team within one midway through the third period, but the Canadians fell to host side HC Davos in their opening round-robin game at the 2014 Spengler Cup.
