Team Canada practiced today in front of 500 fans and played in front of a standing room only
crowd of 4260 in an exhibition game versus the Hungarian National Team.
The Canadians received a police escort through Budapest enroute to the game and were greeted
by more than 1000 fans 2 hours prior to the game. The Hungarian crowd had plenty to cheer about as the home
team led the Canadians 4-3 heading into the third period. The Canadians rallied to score 2 goals in the third
period and outshoot the Hungarian Team 41-20 overall to win 5-4. Both teams posed for pictures following the
game and the sellout crowd stayed and cheered the teams for 30 minutes.
Team Canada has received the "Royal Treatment" in Budapest and will tour the City
tomorrow before heading to Basel, Switzerland for the Skoda Cup.
