Team Canada opened the Skoda Cup today with a 4-0 victory over the German National
Team.
1994 Olympic Silver Medalist, Corey Hirsch had the shutout for Canada making key saves in the 1st period to
preserve a 1-0 lead.
Team Canada arrived from Budapest, Hungary on Thursday evening and were unable to practice for the past two
days as the teams equipment was delayed at the German border.
Canada dominated the game and will look to build on today’s performance as they face Slovakia evening.
