Nancy Drolet (Drummondville, QC) opened the scoring for Team Wilson at 9:54 of the first period, and it proved to be the winner as Charline Labonté (Boisbriand, QC) shut out Team St-Louis’ sharpshooters.
Lara Perks (Trenton, ON) and Meghan Hunter (Oil Springs, ON) added singles to make the final 3-0 for Team Wilson.

In a hard-fought game, Team Wilson and Team Scherer settled on a 1-1 tie in the evening game. Caroline Ouellette (Montréal, QC) gave Team Wilson a 1-0 lead at 13:50 of the 2nd period. Team Scherer’s Danielle Goyette (St-Nazaire, QC) evened the game at 1 at the four-minute mark of the 3rd period. Both goaltenders, Kim St-Pierre (Châteauguay, QC) for Team Scherer and Tania Pinelli (Hamilton, ON) of Team Wilson had solid games, foiling numerous great scoring chances.
Team Wilson gets out of tough two-game first day with a win and a tie. On Thursday, the schedule has Team St-Louis and Team Scherer playing in the morning draw, and Team Wilson faces Team St-Louis in the evening.
