Fueled by an 11-game unbeaten streak that stretched nearly three months from December to March, the Remparts du Richelieu concluded the LHEQ regular season as the top club in the league, three points up on the Warriors du Lac St-Louis, Stars 55 de Mauricie-CDQ and As de Québec. A significant reason why the Remparts finished with the most points was excellence in one-goal games settled in regulation time. They were 8-3 in such contests while the Warriors, Stars 55 and As combined for only a 10-10 record. A strong goaltending partnership between Mia Néron and Laurence Boivin also drove Richelieu to success; Néron was 10-1-2 with a 1.85 goals-against average, and Boivin went 9-5-3 with a 1.82 GAA.
