CALGARY, Alta. – Hockey Canada, in partnership with the Canadian Hockey League (CHL), announced Wednesday that Canada’s National Junior Team will play exhibition games against Finland, Sweden and the United States in Lake Placid, N.Y., from Aug. 7-10.

Players and staff will gather in Montreal, Que., for practices Aug. 4 and Aug. 5 at the Montreal Canadiens’ training centre before departing for Lake Placid.

Kevin Prendergast, head scout of the men’s Program of Excellence for Hockey Canada, along with the team’s coaching staff, will select the players for the summer development camp.

Last summer, the national junior teams of Canada and Russia met in the Canada-Russia Challenge, a four-game series split between Yaroslavl, Russia, and Halifax, N.S., which replaced the annual summer development camp.

More details on the summer camp, including information on the coaching staff, roster and media accreditation, will be released in the near future.
