Extra time was the name of the game Tuesday at the 2025 U17 World Challenge, with Sweden (in overtime) and the United States (in a shootout) earning wins to close the preliminary round in Truro, Nova Scotia.

British Columbia, Ontario Blue, Ontario Red and Quebec earned wins on Day 1 of U18 Nationals.
2025-26 NPT: USA 3 – CAN 0 (Gold Medal)
Watson finished with 20 saves, but Canada got silver in Ostrava.
2025-26 NPT: CAN 9 – ITA 1 (Preliminary)
McGregor had a hat trick and two assists to lead Canada to the final.
2025-26 NPT: CAN 4 – CHN 2 (Preliminary)
Halbert finished with 1G 1A as Canada doubled up the Chinese.
2025-26 NPT: CAN 6 – CZE 1 (Preliminary)
McGregor recorded 1G 2A to help Canada to a win over the hosts.
