Joined by Team Canada alumni Meghan Agosta and Gary Nylund, the Hockey Canada Foundation and its Dreams Come True program paid a visit to the Richmond Olympic Oval as part of the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship, partnering with B.C. Hockey and ISPARC (Indigenous Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation Council) to outfit 25 young players from head to toe with new Bauer equipment and get them onto the ice and into the game. Since 2007, the program has helped 1,251 children and their families. Dreams Come True is a program designed to help families in need so a child’s involvement in the game doesn’t have to be compromised.
