Halifax N.S. - Single game tickets are available starting today for the Royal Bank Cup Hockey Championship May 4-.

  • Single game ticket prices are: Round Robin Games: 1 - 10: $14 (Adult) and $12 (senior, students and children)

  • Semi-Final Games:11 - 12: $15 (Adult) and $13 (senior, students and children)

  • Championship Game:13: $18 (Adult) and $16 (senior, students and children)

Tickets go on sale today at the Halifax Forum, Halifax Metro Centre, participating Sobey's locations, or order by phone at 451-1221.

The Host Team, the Halifax Oland Exports clinched the Maritime Junior "A" Hockey League title, besting the Campbellton Tigers 4 games to 1, last week. The Oland Exports will now go on to compete in the Fred Page Cup in Truro this week, and host the Royal Bank Cup - the National Major Junior Hockey Championship in Halifax May 4- 12.

The Royal Bank Cup is a five team, 13 game tournament over a nine day period with all games at The Halifax Forum.

In early May, Halifax Nova Scotia will once again be centre stage as the host site of a major hockey championship. Following the 2000 Memorial Cup and the upcoming 2003 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship in December-January and the 2004 IIHF Women's World Hockey Championship, Halifax will be the focal point for the declaration of the 2002 national Junior "A" champion.
