Cornwall is 100 days away from hosting the 2008 RBC Cup. The national junior “A” championship is May 3rd to 11th at the Ed Lumley Arena.

A banner was raised at the Cornwall Square today to mark the event and will serve as a reminder; Cornwall will host the nation this spring. The Cornwall Colts have recently bolstered their lineup and are now focused on not just being the host team, but a contender to hoist the cup in front of the home crowd.

You never know who will play in the national tournament. Team Canada’s Kyle Turris won the RBC Cup with the Burnaby Express in 2006 before winning gold at the World Junior Championship this year. Which future star will be in Cornwall this May?

At Colts home games, raffle tickets for a Sidney Crosby autographed picture will be on sale for only $2. The picture is valued at $500. The draw for this great prize will take place during the Championship game on May 11th, 2008 at the Ed Lumley Arena.

Ticket packages for the RBC Cup are now available. adults are $140; seniors and students tickets are $120 while tickets for children 12 and under only cost $60. Packages include all 13 games.
