Cornwall, PEI is only the second team from Prince Edward Island to qualify for the National Midget Championship in the past 20 years. Quebec opened the scoring with one goal in the first, and added a second goal in period 2. Cornwall did not go down without a fight, as they rallied and added two goals of their own in the third. Quebec capped off the win with an empty net goal to take the game 5-2. Cornwall goalie Todd Gregory was the star of the game recording 42 saves on the night. Benjamin Breault led the way for Quebec with a pair of goals in the victory.
