Canada’s National Sledge Team to face United States in three-game series

CALGARY, Alta. – Canada’s National Sledge Team will face the United States in a three-game series from March 26-28 at the Extreme Ice Center in Indian Trail, N.C., just outside Charlotte.

It will be the final opportunity for the Team Canada coaching staff to evaluate players ahead of the 2015 IPC Sledge Hockey World Championship, which will be held April 26-May 3 in Buffalo, N.Y.

SERIES VS. UNITED STATES SCHEDULE

Thursday, March 26       Canada vs. United States 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT

Friday, March 27            Canada vs. United States 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT

Saturday, March 28        Canada vs. United States 12:30 p.m. ET/9:30 a.m. PT     

All three games will be available through FASTHockey webcasts at http://usahockey.fasthockey.com.  

Canada’s 16-player roster includes two goaltenders, five defencemen and nine forwards, and features 15 players who helped Canada to a bronze medal at the 2015 World Sledge Hockey Challenge in Leduc, Alta.

Canada is the defending champion at the IPC Sledge Hockey World Championship, having won its third world title in 2013 in Goyang, South Korea, beating the Americans 1-0 in the gold medal game.
