Memories of Stoney Creek
“One of my most memorable moments was my last game as a Stoney Creek Sabre, when we won bronze at provincials. We had a lot of players injured, so there were only 10 or 12 of us playing. We weren’t the greatest team but we all came together in the end. Sarah Nurse and I were the leaders of the team and I’m proud we were able to bring the team together and finish off strong.

“The coaches did so much behind the scenes for us – things like getting a Midget player to practice or play with the junior team and putting our stats in spreadsheets so we could see them. They just wanted to see us improve and make it to the next level. They were a huge part in my success and in me getting to Wisconsin. [They] weren’t just trying to get the best players to the next level, but were trying to get each person where they wanted to be once they were done in Stoney Creek.”
