CANADA’S NATIONAL MEN’S SLEDGE HOCKEY WINS 4-0

Arvada, Colorado – Canada’s National Men’s Sledge Hockey Team demonstrated great character this evening for playing in their third straight game in less than twenty four hours. Canada’s 4-0 win vs. USA was their second game of the day.

Team Canada opened the score with just a few seconds left in the first period with a great end to end effort by Jeremy Booker after breaking through Team USA defender and beating netminder with a hard shot from top of the circle.

Team Canada were able to capitalize on 2 out of 5 power play opportunities and outplayed team USA throughout the evening. Canada received a solid performance between the pipes by Greg Westlake, his first game of the tourney.

Canada has a total of 5 points in the overall standing giving them a berth to the gold medal game on Friday night. Norway and USA will battle out each other tomorrow night in order to decide who will play Canada in the final.
