Seventeen 2004-born players, representing seven Hockey Canada members, will wear the Maple Leaf in Lausanne, SUI.
Danielson scored in the third period, but Canada fell one short.
Verreault finished with 2G 1A to help Canada blank the Danes.
Fantilli and Mateychuk scored, but a slow start doomed the Canadians.
