Language Arts – Grade 6
- Students do research and then create a news article about the upcoming World Junior Hockey Championships.
- For students to summarize and relay information using a specific style of writing.
- Students will gather and organize information on sports drinks.
- Students use hockey words in sentences showing more than one meaning; the different meanings of the word are evident.
- Have students envision what they could say to a group of athletes to boost morale and inspire them to try their best to win a game.
