  • Students explore how ice is made and why the specific properties of water play an important role in creating a smooth skating surface.

Sharpen those Skates!

  • Speed up the melting process of ice with the help of a little pressure. Cut a piece of ice in half with fishing line while learning how the process relates to ice skating.

End of Hockey Season

  • To explore what happens to water as it goes from solid to liquid; to use observation, measurement, and communication skills to describe change.
