Nic Petan scored a hat trick, Curtis Lazar and Connor McDavid assisted on all three and Canada beat Slovakia in the semifinals to book its spot in the gold medal game at the IIHF World Junior Championship for the first time since 2011.

Canada 8 – Denmark 0 | Quarter-final | Fri. Jan. 2

Curtis Lazar and Connor McDavid led the way with three points each and Zachary Fucale needed to make only 14 saves as Canada shut out Denmark Friday night in the quarter-finals of the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Canada 5 – United States 3 | Preliminary | Wed. Dec. 31

Max Domi led the way with two goals, and Sam Reinhart added a goal and two assists as Canada’s National Junior Team wrapped up first in Group A by beating the Americans at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Canada 4 – Finland 1 | Preliminary | Mon. Dec. 29

Sam Reinhart scored the game’s first two goals, Zach Fucale finished with 27 saves and Canada’s National Junior Team beat the defending gold medallists to keep pace with the U.S. at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Canada 4 – Germany 0 | Preliminary | Sat. Dec. 27

Connor McDavid finished with a goal and two assists, Eric Comrie made 17 saves for the shutout and Canada’s National Junior Team scored three times on the power play to blank Germany at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Canada 8 – Slovakia 0 | Preliminary | Fri. Dec. 26

Robby Fabbri had two goals and two assists, 11 players had at least a point and Zach Fucale needed to make just 12 saves as Canada’s National Junior Team blanked Slovakia to open the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Canada 6 – Switzerland 0 | Pre-Tournament | Tue. Dec. 23

Max Domi had a hat trick, Anthony Duclair added three assists and Zachary Fucale needed to make just 14 saves for the shutout, helping Canads finish the RBC Road to the World Juniors with a win over Switzerland in Montreal, Que.

Canada 5 – Sweden 2 | Pre-Tournament | Sun. Dec. 21

An early power play goal by Max Domi set the tone for the offence as five different players found the back of the net and Eric Comrie made 17 saves Sunday to lead Canada past Sweden in its second game on the RBC Road to the World Juniors.

Team Canada roster named for 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship

After nine days of selection camp and pre-competition camp, 22 players have been chosen to wear the red and white of Canada’s National Junior Team when the puck drops Boxing Day in Montreal at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Russia 2 – Canada 1 (OT) | Pre-Tournament | Fri. Dec. 19

Josh Morrissey scored early in the second period to open the scoring, and Canada held a 53-20 advantage in shots on goal, but the Canadians dropped an overtime decision to Russia in its first game on the RBC Road to the World Juniors.
