CANADA FINISHES SIXTH UPON POSTING 3-5 RECORD AT 2002 UNDER-18 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

PIESTANY, SLOVAKIA - Canada's National Under 18 Team returns home on Monday, after finishing 6th in it's first ever participation in the IIHF World Under-18 Hockey Championship, that was held in Piestany, Slovakia. Canada closed out the final round with a 5-3 loss against Belarus on Sunday to finish the Championship with a 3-5 record.

Canada's National Under 18 Team was made up of players born in 1984, not involved in the playoffs in either the CHL, university or Junior "A" leagues when the team was named on April 4th. » more
