2000 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge

Ontario takes Silver after falling to Russia in the Gold Medal Game. Team Pacific takes the Bronze over the USA.

The tournament began on Tuesday, December 28th, 1999 and finished on Monday, January 3rd, 2000. It featured teams from five regions of Canada, Pacific, West, Ontario, Québec and Atlantic, facing off against five national under 17 teams from Germany, the Czech Republic, Russia, the USA, and Finland.

The eighth edition of this international event saw the City of Timmins, Ontario become the centre of operations with games being held in communities surrounding the city.
