In his first international appearance, Kevin Bieksa will wear the 'C' for Team Canada at the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Minsk, joined by alternate captains Jason Chimera and Kyle Turris.

MacKinnon, Read and Schenn added to roster for world championship
Nathan MacKinnon, Matt Read and Brayden Schenn, all of whom have Team Canada experience, have been named to Canada’s roster for the 2014 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, while David Perron will no longer participate.
Canada 5 – HC Genève-Servette 6 | Semifinal | Mon. Dec. 30
Jacob Micflikier, Darren Haydar and Jason Williams all scored goals in the third period, but the Canadians came up one goal short in a 6-5 semifinal loss to HC Genève-Servette on Monday at the  Spengler Cup.
Canada 6 – Rochester 3 | Preliminary | Sun. Dec. 29
Jacob Micflikier and Byron Ritchie each scored twice, and Ahren Spylo added three assists to help Canada reach the semifinals at the 2013 Spengler Cup with a quarter-final win over the Rochester Americans.
Canada 2 – HC Davos 3 | Preliminary | Sat. Dec. 28
Darren Haydar and Maxim Noreau scored in the third period to keep Canada close, but it will face the Rochester Americans in a Spengler Cup quarter-final on Sunday after a loss to the tournament hosts.
Canada 5 – HC Vitkovice Steel 4 | Preliminary | Thu. Dec. 26
Byron Ritchie and Derrick Walser scored third-period goals to help Canada erase a one-goal deficit after 40 minutes and open the 2013 Spengler Cup with a 5-4 victory over Czech side HC Vitkovice Steel.
