World Juniors Priority Ticket Draw

The 2027 IIHF World Junior Championship is coming back to Alberta! Edmonton and Red Deer will welcome the top under-20 players from across the globe at Rogers Place and the Marchant Crane Centrium.

Knowing the passion Canadians have for hockey, demand for 2027 World Juniors tickets will exceed availability. To ensure fair access, interested parties will have to enter the 2027 World Juniors Priority Ticket Draw for the chance to potentially access a limited inventory of tickets. Names will be chosen at random and assigned a designated date and time to purchase. (There is no obligation to purchase, and no cost to entering the priority draw.)

Entering the 2027 World Juniors Priority Ticket Draw is the only opportunity for fans to potentially purchase tickets.

Q: When and where does the 2027 IIHF World Junior Championship take place?

A: The 2027 IIHF World Junior Championship will take place at Rogers Place in Edmonton and the Marchant Crane Centrium in Red Deer from Dec. 26, 2026, to Jan. 5, 2027.

Q: What are the ticket options for the 2027 IIHF World Junior Championship?

A: A 16-game full-event ticket package and two eight-game half-event ticket packages will be available to purchase for Group A at Rogers Place in Edmonton. A 14-game full-event ticket package will be available to purchase at the Marchant Crane Centrium in Red Deer for Group B. All ticket packages will be available to those who have been successfully selected from the World Juniors Priority Draw. Single-game tickets will be available at a later date pending available inventory.

Q: I am an Edmonton Oilers, Edmonton Oil Kings or Red Deer Rebels season ticket holder. Will I receive front-of-the-line access?

A: Hockey Canada is working back with the Edmonton Oilers, Edmonton Oil Kings and Red Deer Rebels on a ticket plan that will provide season ticket holders with an opportunity to receive front-of-the-line access to purchase full-event packages with their season seats. Further information will be sent to all season ticket holders by your account reps in November 2025.

Q: How can I purchase ticket packages?

A: Tickets for the 2027 IIHF World Junior Championship are expected to be in high demand. Fans must enter the World Juniors Priority Draw at HockeyCanada.ca/Tickets no later than Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. MT. No deposit is required.

Q: What is a Priority Draw?

A: Interested parties must enter the Priority Draw for a chance to purchase ticket packages. Names will be chosen at random and assigned a designated date and time to access ticket inventory. The draw closes Jan. 6, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. MT. Selected individuals will be notified by Jan. 30, 2026.

Q: Can I enter to purchase ticket packages at both venues?

A: Yes. When signing up, you may register for one or both venues.

Q: How many times can I enter the Priority Draw?

A: Once per email address.

Q: When will the Priority Draw take place?

A: Fans can enter between Dec. 9, 2025, and Jan. 6, 2026. A random draw will occur Jan. 16, 2026. Selected individuals will be notified by Jan. 30, 2026.

Q: How will I know if I've been selected?

A: Selected fans will receive an email by Jan. 30, 2026.

Q: Can I choose my seat location?

A: Yes, based on availability at the time of purchase.

Q: What payment methods are available?

A: Credit card only (MasterCard, Visa, American Express).

Q: If I am successful in purchasing ticket packages, when will I receive the tickets?

A: Tickets will be accessible through each venue’s online account manager.

Q: How many seats are included in a ticket package?

A: One seat for all games included in the package.

Q: Am I eligible to win the chance to purchase tickets for both venues?

A: Yes. There are four separate draws: three for Rogers Place (16-game full-event, 8-game half A, 8-game half B) and one for the Centrium (14-game full-event).

Q: If I am not selected, can I still buy a ticket package?

A: All packages are expected to sell through the Priority Draw. Possible future availability will be announced later.

Q: Can I win the chance to purchase single-game tickets?

A: No. The Priority Draw applies to packages only.

Q: How will I receive my tickets?

A: Electronic tickets through the venue's account manager.

Q: When will my tickets be delivered?

A: You will receive an email once they are available.

Q: Are ticket payments refundable?

A: No.

Q: When is the 2027 schedule being released?

Q: How many teams and games in the tournament?

A: Ten countries will play 29 games (excluding pre-tournament).

Q: What games will Team Canada play at Rogers Place?

A: Four preliminary-round games and—as applicable—quarterfinal, semifinal and medal games.

Q: What games will Team Canada play at the Centrium?

A: Two pre-tournament games.

Q: Where will playoff games be played?

A: Two quarterfinals at the Centrium; remaining playoff games at Rogers Place. Relegation also at Rogers Place.

Q: Will there be a payment plan option in place?

A: Yes. The online purchase process will offer two payment options - pay in full, or an interest-free plan (25% initial payment down, with the remaining balance owed over two equal payments on April 1 and August 1).

Q: What is the cost of the 16-game ticket package for games played at Rogers Place?

A: There are nine price levels for the 16-game full-event ticket packages at Rogers Place. The prices range from $1,107.60 per seat to $2,707.60 per seat, including fees, depending on seat location.

Q: What is the cost of the 8-game half ticket package for games played at Rogers Place?

A: There are nine price levels for the 8-game half-event ticket packages at Rogers Place. The prices range from $553.80 per seat to $1,353.80 per seat, including fees, depending on seat location.

Q: What is the cost of the 14-game ticket package for games played in the Marchant Crane Centrium?

A: There are three price levels for the 14-game ticket packages at Marchant Crane Centrium. The prices range from $495 per seat to $745 per seat, including fees, depending on seat location.

Q: How many packages can I purchase if selected?

A: For each package you are selected to purchase, you may purchase a maximum of four (4) seats.

Q: Can I purchase accessible seating?

A: Yes. Limited accessible seating is available at both venues.

Q: How will I receive my tickets?

A: Electronic tickets will be provided for all ticket packages and will be accessible through the respective venue’s online account manager in Fall 2027.

Q: Where will the relegation game be played?

A: The relegation game for the 2027 IIHF World Junior Championship will be played at Rogers Place on Saturday, January 2, 2027. Tickets for the relegation game will be sold separately from event ticket packages beginning in Fall 2027.
