My Team Canada - Taylor Kitsch : 02/19/2009
While he may play a football player on NBC’s Friday Night Lights, hockey has always been the first love of Taylor Kitsch. A Kelowna, BC native, Kitsch played Junior A hockey for the BCHL’s Langley Hornets before a knee injury ended his playing days and helped begin a modeling and acting career. In addition to his run as Tim Riggins on FNL, Kitsch has also appeared on the big screen in Snakes on a Plane, The Covenant and John Tucker Must Die. He has been tapped to portray Gambit in the eagerly-anticipated X-Men prequel ‘Wolverine’, due for release in May 2009.
