Toronto-born Shenae Grimes stars as sweet theatre student Annie Wilson in The CW's new drama 90210. The 18-year-old is best known to audiences for her role as Darcy in Degrassi: The Next Generation, for which she won the Gemini Award in 2007 for Best Performance in a Youth Series. Grimes has had a love of performing since a very young age. Her acting career began when she enrolled in a triple-threat program and was discovered by her agent at a performance. Since then, she has fallen in love with acting and has been focused on developing her film and television career. Grimes previously co-starred in the CBC movie of the week Shania, where she portrayed a teenaged Shania Twain, and had a recurring role on Naturally Sadie. Grimes has a love for fashion and recently completed an internship at Fashion Television in Toronto.
