My Team Canada - Justin Morneau : 02/21/2009
A Memorial Cup champion in 1998 with the Portland Winterhawks – he was the team’s third goaltender, and never saw regular season action – Justin Morneau is perhaps better known as the 2006 American League MVP and 2008 Home Run Derby champion as a member of the Minnesota Twins. The New Westminster, BC native, who wears #33 in honour of his idol, Hall of Fame goaltender Patrick Roy, played competitive hockey right through his high school years at New Westminster Secondary School.
