Canada’s National Women’s Team concluded its October training camp by losing 3-2 in a shootout to the Moncton Flyers Midget AAA boys team. Jayna Hefford and Marie-Philip Poulin scored for Canada.

TRAINING CAMP | OCTOBER 12TH

Cherie Piper and Jayna Hefford scored the goals, and Laura Hosier and Shannon Szabados made the saves, as Canada’s National Women’s Team beat the Moncton Flyers 2-0 on Sunday night in Moncton, NB.

CANADA 3 – FREDRICTON 3
TRAINING CAMP | OCTOBER 11TH

Gina Kingsbury, Carla MacLeod, Katie Weatherston and Gillian Apps scored for Canada as it beat the Fredericton Canadiens Midget AAA boys team 4-3 on Saturday night. Canada moves to 1-1 at its October training camp.

CANADA 2 – SAINT JOHN 3
TRAINING CAMP | OCTOBER 10TH

Marie-Philip Poulin and Gina Kingsbury scored for Canada, but the Saint John Vitos scored three times in the final seven minutes as the Midget AAA boys team handed Canada’s National Women’s Team a 3-2 loss at Canada’s training camp in Moncton, NB on Friday night.

Canada’s National Women’s Team has announced a pair of rosters for upcoming events, naming 23 players to its October camp, which begins next Thursday, October 9, and 21 players to Canada’s roster for the 2008 4 Nations Cup, which is set for November 4-9 in Lake Placid, NY. » more
